About the World Harbour Days
Every year, during the first weekend of September, the city of Rotterdam celebrates its port. The World Port Days are all about strengthening the ties between the port, its home town and its natural hinterland. Take a rare look behind the scenes at various companies and organisations in the port. It’s a unique opportunity to visit places that you normally wouldn’t be able to access!
The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Energize!’. Rotterdam doesn’t just invest a lot of energy in its port – it’s also sourcing more and more sustainable energy from the port area. The organisers want to draw attention to Rotterdam’s big sustainability ambitions, and its efforts to become the world’s cleanest port.
