The department
The kitchen is responsible for providing culinary care for guests in the Brasserie and halls. The combination of a busy brasserie combined with the high level of ambition ensures that working in the kitchen is never boring. For this department, the Euromast is looking for an enthusiastic cook who knows how to get down to business. As an independent working chef, you will work under the direction of the Executive Chef de Cuisine and his assistants.
The function
As an independent working cook, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare dishes/dish portions according to recipe and schedule;
- Perform preparatory work, such as washing, cutting ingredients, making batter or dough, preparing ready-to-eat dish sections;
- Review ingredients to be used for freshness, shelf life, etc;
- Passing ready orders according to established instruction regarding ingredients, recipe, working methods and appearance. Control and account for quantities of raw materials and (semi) manufactured products consumed;
- Cleaning work environment, kitchen equipment and machinery. Signal peculiarities/failures to immediate supervisor and dispose of waste.
Your profile
As an independent working cook, you meet the following profile:
- Minimum MBO working and thinking level with relevant professional training (SVH);
- Minimum 1 year work experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of hygiene regulations (HACCP);
- Good proficiency in the Dutch language;
- A good sense of humor;
- Professionalism, customer-oriented and quality-conscious.
